Instructions for Collectors
First bird preserved 1970, major interest from 1981, independent business established 1985 and still going!
International sales very worthy of note
Despite regular site updates of late, real enthusiasm is not there- especially in regard to acquiring yet more taxidermy
SO
If YOU have enthusiasm and of course suitable funds you can always "buy me out" -- SERIOUSLY'
Perhaps enough material to form a 'MUSEUM ' in its own right - which is, however, being regularly diminished and requisite prices obtained!

THIS rather unflattering photo is by request!
A bit more more detail about the painting by Sheila Tiffin can be seen at the bottom of Archive
.
Office View both ends - 'I Thrive on Paper', taxidermy related of course!
EGYPT
If you've never done Egypt you are truly missing an experience, especially the smog- which in Cairo didn't lift 'till mid-day and where even King 'Tut' keeps a respirator on hand! Bird life on the Nile is glorious and coupled to incredible service on the 'cruise boats' with the amazing Valley of the Kings and Pyramids to visit (go early to beat the Japanese) all leaving a lasting impression.
The constant hassle in the spice market was the only disquiet.

Painted Snipe - seen on the Nile among numerous other species and...... Royston's Crow - Corvus corone cornix- sadly, but obligingly dying on the lawn outside the hotel room in Luxor. Kept cool in the rooms frig' for a week, wrapped in a cold towel for the flight home
where the 'nice man' in the red channel passed it through without blinking. The skull is a replica and not from someone who didn't make it into the afterlife
There is some fine taxidermy in the agricultural museum in Cairo but less than 10 items in other places barely worthy of mention
.
Model making is closely aligned to taxidermy - this, my only attempt using some genuine Egyptian artifacts as a memento of a fabulous trip.
Wraparound (barrel) case - 27"x20" or so. Camel dung figures by the way!
Camel 'do-do', because of the diet is actually about date size - thought that might be of interest to other potential model makers!

Bit of a time capsule!
