Probably the rarest bird in this collection and believed almost extinct in Europe (Palmer 2000)
Two specimens taken in Oxford 1840s, a further two in Huddesfield ,1860s, one of which ended up in the celebrated Calke Abbey collection which was again sold in 1925 for £3.10s
This is indeed a rare item and even more so in an original labeled case
